2012 Apocalypse
I am trying to decide whether I want to die right away when it starts.
Or live through it and see the new world.
England is the first to go. Japan is making arrangements because it is also at high risk right away.
And they say the most stable place to be will be Western Siberia (in terms of tectonic plates).
I really don't want to go!! Or at least I should make my way to the other continent. I don't want to either.
But you know, at high times planes won't fly.

In all seriousness my mom is worried like crazy!! And now the whole family is into it too.

So we decided to make a list of the predictions with a corresponding list of our actions.
In the end better be safe then sorry. But noone listens to each other anyway.
Do you know about that guy who was on the Titanic ship?
He was on the Titanic and he remembered reading a book where the tragic fate of a ship called Titan was told. And the circumstances in the book exactly matched those of Titanic. So he got off and ran away. And then things happened.

I prefer to think that instead of the world ending in 2012 there will be a major shift in the mindset of humanity.

But they said the poles (north, south pole) are shifting, they're going to shift as much as 30 degrees and that is going to change the whole earth.

i want to see it all happen. it's supposed to go down on December 21st, 2012. that's my mom and nephew's birthday. so i will either be with family or be up at Carlye's farm. so either way it'll be a great place to be, no matter what happens.

and just think. if nothing happens, like nothing at all, there will be people running outside to hug everyone else. it'll be like when Obama won the presidency, but all over the world!

yes, well they said the 2012 could be the soonest, but it is bound to happen anyway in 30-50 years, because the earth is finishing up another one of the cycles. The 2012 is just a date according to the mayans or something like that.

oh yeah, absolutely, and 2012 is also the beginning of the Age of Aquarius, another "end of the world" thing.

maybe we'll all get superpowers!

I was thinking more of no electricity or anything else, in the middle of Siberia starting all over again. Which is okay, but everyone will start killing each other right and left. They said Siberia will warm up and become optimal as far as living conditions go. Much of everything else will either be covered in water or frozen. But what about Australia? I think if it doesn't get covered by water, it will cool down and become perfect.

another reason i'm glad i live in the midwest. if the oceans rise they won't get this far inland. if the electricity shuts off, going to Carlye's farm will not be a big problem and it's a wonderful place as it is. if we have to hunt then we can. if we have to grow food then we'll be on a farm, so again, no worries.

i think i'm marrying the right person

Except it will get really really cold.

We live on top of a hill even though really close to water. When the water rises it won't rise all the way to our level, but there will be storms and things that will make it impossible anyway and we would be completely isolated. We could eat deer and make freshwater from salt water by process of evaporation. But the storms and cold would make anything impossible so I think we need to move anyway in order not to freeze to death.

it will be cold in Wisconsin, but cold winters are nothing new up there.

besides, Siberia is known for being frigid! that's where the gulags were. the cold there stopped Napoleon and Hitler! my preference would be for Wisconsin
